Mission
The Harford Ballet Company is a non-profit 501(c)(3) classical and contemporary ballet company designed to share its creative resources and talents with the community through performances and programs designed to educate, enrich and entertain. It affords members the opportunity to explore their full dance potential in a master-apprentice structure.

Members
Composed of professionals and dedicated amateurs who audition each year (for ages 10-adult, June audition date TBA), HBC seeks to afford Company Members the opportunity to explore their full dance potential and to interact closely with respected experts in the field of dance, both by performing alongside professional guest artists in HBC productions and by learning technique and choreography from master teachers. Company Members have a unique opportunity for personal growth and development, for as they strive for their artistic goals, they gain invaluable life-skills. This personal growth and accomplishment is not only of value to each individual dancer, but it is also an asset to the Harford County community. HBC audience members of all ages gain a better understanding and appreciation for the art of classical ballet as they delight in each production.

2006 Senior Company

HBC is overseen by an Executive Board who works closely with the artistic director and the company manager to provide support for the Company. The Parent’s Guild also supports HBC, which gives Company Members a strong sense of family and team effort. HBC must constantly seek financial backing for this costly art through memberships, grants, and donations so as to safeguard the priceless experience that it provides to its dancers and audience alike.

• The Nutcracker (featuring a Tea Party with Clara & Friends)- Full weekend in December
• Outreach Tea Party/Performance Child Care Centers- Full weekday in Early December
• Art Festivals (Bel Air, Harford County)- Fall and Spring
• Spring Concert Series (classical or contemporary production)- May or June
