Dress Requirements
All students must furnish their own clothing and shoes for classes including shoes and tights for performances. By the end of the first two weeks, students should be dressed for class in the appropriate uniform described below.
All clothing and shoes should be marked with the student's name. No jewelry (except small earings) may be worn in class. Students should not wear leg warmers, sweaters, skirts or extra clothing of any kind in the classroom. Long-sleeved leotards (not sweaters) are appropriate in cold weather, but the dance studio is kept at a comfortable temperature year-round. Holes that appear in dance clothing should be mended immediately and the student's appearance should always be neat and professional.
The Dance Conservatory of Maryland asks all of our students to dress appropriately when arriving and departing class and rehearsals. Dancewear is not appropriate attire for outside the building, and dancers must wear street clothing over their leotards when they arrive and leave for the day. Please contact the DCM office if you have any questions or concerns about the Dress Requirements.
