The Dance Conservatory of Maryland offers a wide variety of summer programs for all ages and levels of interest. Summer programs are offered throughout the summer from June through August.

Guest Faculty – In addition to DCM’s own gifted faculty, highly qualified instructors from Maryland and surrounding states will offer instruction in various dance forms. Recent guest teachers have included Amanda McKerrow and John Gardner - American Ballet Theater dancers, Roberto Munoz - Saratoga Summer Dance Intensive, Peter Pawlyshyn - Royal Winnipeg Ballet/Boston Ballet/Kansas City Ballet, Catherine Horta-Hayden - professor at Towson University, and Norma Pera - Dance Director at the Baltimore School for the Arts.


Ages 3-6

Monday-Friday, 9a.m. - 12p.m.
Choose one, two, or all three of the following sessions.  Cost: $185 per session

Session 1 - July 10-14, 2017
Session 2 - July 17-21, 2017
Session 3 - July 24-28, 2017

This half day camp provides children with a variety of
experiences and introduces them to basic musicality, loco motor
skills and group movement activities. In addition to dance activities, 
each day will include snacks and a craft provided by DCM. 

Daily dance classes in ballet,
tap and jazz will open their eyes to different dance styles while
child-friendly crafts and games will excite their imagination!

Each week will have a different theme that includes story time,
an informal performance for parents and friends and a chance to
meet story book characters.


Ages 7-18
July 10-29, 2017

Evening dance classes for students at an Elementary-Advanced level. All dancers at the DCM ballet 1 level and up are encouraged to continue dancing in the summer to retain all the hard work and continue the progress they make year round. 

Dance styles offered in this program include ballet, contemporary, and jazz. Scheduling is flexible to work around summer schedules. Students can choose which classes to attend each week and which weeks they are able to attend. 

Ages 7-18

Evening dance classes run Monday through Friday and include Ballet, Pointe/Pre-Pointe and Contemporary.

$260 for 3 weeks, $90/week, $20/evening

$520 for 3 weeks, $180/week, $40/evening

Ballet Chesapeake's August Workshop is designed for the serious professional or pre-professional dance student at an intermediate to advanced level of training. The workshop will include daily Ballet technique and Pointe/Pre-Pointe or Variations and Partnering classes with renowned guest professionals and Ballet Chesapeake faculty. The program will improve a student's technique while increasing their strength and flexibility to prepare them for their upcoming dance season. This program is required for all Ballet Chesapeake members.

Housing with Ballet Chesapeake families is available Monday - Thursday of each week for out of state/area students. Please contact our office for more information.
